Team Lucky

Lea stood on a hill with her uncle and sensei beside her, they both had the trade mark blonde hair and blue eyes of their clan, her hair was long and flowing, his was short and spiky.  They both wore a look of thoughtful concentration and boredom. Lea looked up at her uncle and sighed.
“Why do I have to work with her?” she asked about her team mate, Kyra.
“Because she’s your teammate.” He replied simply.
“But she’s so useless!” Lea pouted.
“Then show her how to be strong.” He said. “Besides, you and I both know you’re not as strong as you act on the surface.” Lea glared at him.
“Im strong enough at least I know how to be strong at all!”  She said defiantly.
“You’re only as strong as your weakest part, they’re not perfect but neither are you.” he said. She didn’t reply and watched as Kyra and Risika came over the edge of the hill.
Kyra was a short but pretty girl with long crimson hair and pale blue eyes who wore a black no sleeve, deep v neck, top that sported the Uchiha crest on the back with a white under shirt, and pink short shorts; Risika was tall with long darker red hair, worn in dog ears, and light green eyes and wore a white short sleeve shirt, a short black skirt, and black shin high boots with black fishnet stockings, the Hyugga crest was imprinted in the middle of her back. Lea didn’t really care about either one in a friendly way, Kyra was a rival but Risika escaped her notice most of the time. They all turned to listen to their sensei. He smiled gently at them.
“All right team! Since you all aim to be anbu for some amount of time, your first mission will be outside the village in the forests that hide it! This mission will take at least three days and you won’t be able to reenter the village for any reason.” Lea grinned, Kyra looked interested, and Risika looked exited. “I’ve hidden 3 scrolls somewhere out there, they could be in the same place or different ones, they could be in the trees or on the ground, they could be close to the walls or on the outer border, or anywhere in between.” Chris grinned as Kyra whined, and Lea sighed.
“What, is it to much work teme?” Lea taunted Lira.
“No I just think finding them would be easier with out the 2 of you.” Kyra shot back.
“Right” Lea rolled her eyes. Once they got to the gate Chris stood to one side.
“I won’t come with you. But I will be watching.” He said signaling a jonin to open the gates. “I’ll see you in 3 days time.” He turned and walked back into the village.
They jumped into the trees and set of searching every branch.
“This’ll take forever!” Kyra whined.
“Shut up Kyra or I’ll make you!” Lea snapped angrily.
“Now Lea, Kyra lets try and strategize this.” Risika said calmly. Lea stopped suddenly and looked back at the others.
“Alright let’s plan.” She said simply. Kyra huffed and stopped.
“Well I have byakugan, Lea you have your zensaigan, and Kyra has sharingan. So I say we stay close to each other and Kyra and I can search while you watch for traps. I’ll take the left side and the back, Kyra can take the right side and the front.” Kyra liked this plan, so did Lea.
“Alright, we’ll try it.” they said together.
“Alright Lea take the lead, Kyra stand beside me so we make a triangle.” Risika said simply. They all activated their blood limits and started moving again.
As the sun went down Lea caught sight of a seal, one her uncle had taught her. She focused on it studying it. She threw her hand up signaling the others to stop.
“What now?” Kyra whined.
“A seal, about two feet ahead of and above us, use your Sharingan and find out what’s up there. Risika don’t look, it’s designed against you byakugan.” Lea stated calmly. Kyra grumbled and looked.
“It’s a scroll alright.” She said excitedly as she tried to go get it. Lea held out her arm and Kyra ran right into it.
“What part of seal didn’t penetrate you skull?” Lea asked aggravated. Kyra stopped and walked away from the spot as if Lea hadn’t said anything. Lea resisted the urge to roll her eyes and instead focused them on the seal. “Duck!” she called to her teammates. Risika grabbed Kyra’s shoulders and pulled her down just in time. Lea had set the seal off and headed right into the center of it all.
“Lea!” Kyra called. Lea reached into the hole the blast had created, feeling for the scroll. She grabbed it and pulled back just in time to escape a snake’s bite. She jumped down and grinned holding 2 scrolls in her hand. One bore the Uchiha fan the other bore the red swirl that all Namekaze Chunin wore. Lea smiled handing Kyra her scroll.
“Let’s wait till we have all 3 to read them ok?” Lea said stowing hers away.
“Sure” Kyra was much more agreeable. Risika grinned and took off with out the other two.
“Where the heck do you think you’re going?!” Lea called after her.
“To my scroll!” Risika yelled back.
Lea rolled her eyes and signaled Kyra to come. They caught up quickly and found themselves in the middle of an elite training ground.
“Over there!” Risika shouted seeing her scroll. Kyra grabbed her shoulder.
“Don’t forget about the rest of us and the fact that it might be guarded by more than just the physical and chakra your byakugan can see.” She reminded her teammate. Risika nodded and stopped. “Lea what do you see?” Kyra asked.
“A seal I can undo pretty easily but it has hidden properties I can’t access, it could have a hidden effect.” Lea said. Kyra and Risika nodded. “Stand back, I’m gonna erase what I can of it.” Lea said warningly. The other 2 stepped back on guard and ready to help if they where needed. An explosion enveloped them in dust and before either Kyra or Risika knew it Lea was gone and even worse it was getting dark! The end of the first day was here and they’d lost Lea! The only bit of good news was that there in the hole created the blast was the final scroll! Risika snatched it up and stowed it away.
